A glimpse By: drivenbyimpulse Rating: PG Fandoms: Smallville/Supernatural Characters: Chloe, Sam, Dean, Lois Pairing: Chloe/Dean Sam/Lois Disclaimer: Not Mine, I promise Summary: While waiting for Sam outside the Talon, Dean glimpses someone who could change his life forever.
A/N: Be kind, this is my first fic post for this fandom and bear with me, I usually write in RPGs rather than in fics. Oneshot probably, I may continue it if I get inspired.
This town gave him the creeps, literally. There was something off here, something that he couldn't quite put his finger on but he would, and then he'd send whatever it was back to hell where it belonged. Why was it that it was always the small towns that had the biggest creep factor when it came to the supernatural? And what kind of a name was Smallville? Shifting his gaze from the street to his left, Dean looked up at the building he was parked in front of. The Talon, what a name for a coffee shop. Sam had gone in to get a caffeine fix for the both of them and was taking his own sweet time. Grumbling a bit, his eyes narrowed as he zeroed in on his brother through the window. Sam was talking to a girl, leaned against the bar in interest. That was normally his thing, not Sam's but he couldn't help but give his brother a mental thumbs up. Though if he didn't get his ass back out in the impala in the next ten minutes he was going in and dragging him out. Dean's train of thought was interrupted, however, when he spotted a flash of short blonde hair out of the corner of his eye. Turning his head he allowed himself to look over the shapely blonde, walking while talking on her cell phone. Leaning forward in his seat, hands gripping the wheel he watched her more closely. She didn't dress like the average teenager these days, her sense of style was eclectic and flirty. Interesting, there was just something about her. It didn't make his demon sense perk up but it did pique his interest. Hearing the sharp joy in her laughter his stomach clenched, when she laughed she did it with her whole soul, and not only that but she sparkled. What the fuck was wrong with him, he was thinking about a girl and using the term 'sparkle'. Clearing his throat he licked his suddenly dry lips, watching her enter the coffee shop and disappear up the back steps. He fought with himself then, on whether to get out of the car and make his way inside, if only to find out what name belonged to the beautiful stranger. He reached toward the car door handle, nearly opening it when the sound of the passenger door startled him. He'd been so encompassed in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed Sam returning to the car. It was too late, there was no way he was going to try and explain this to Sam. Taking his coffee from his brother, he frowned at Sam's funny look. "She turn you down, Sammy?" he teased, restarting the engine and pulling away. He wasn't even listening to Sam as he argued poutily, his mind was still on that pretty blonde that had disappeared up the stairs. Maybe it was better that he hadn't gone after her, he was relatively comfortable with his life as it was and he knew that she would turn it upside down and make him feel. He worked too hard at being numb for that.
